Headshot of a freindly mum

Founder

Jasmine

Jasmine is deeply empathetic, joyfully others-oriented, and she loves restoring peace and order to overwhelming environments.

She has been married for over a decade and is the mum of two primary-school-aged children. Through several years as a foster mother, caring for children from toddler to teenager, alongside her work as a disability support worker, Jasmine brings a wealth of lived experience supporting families with complex needs.

After the loss of her third child to pre-term labour, Jasmine also carries a personal understanding of grief. This experience has shaped her conviction that families navigating loss need both practical, hands-on help and gentle emotional support, often at the same time.

Before having children, Jasmine built a successful career in children’s television production and holds a Bachelor of Broadcasting Communications from the New Zealand Broadcasting School. This background contributes to her clear communication, calm presence even under pressure, and ability to work thoughtfully with families in vulnerable moments.

Jasmine launched Hands That Hold in 2026 as her youngest child began school. With renewed capacity, she is passionate about walking alongside mums and families, helping create the space, steadiness, and support needed to raise thriving children and resilient households.

Christina

Christina is thoughtful, considerate, and deeply people-focused, with a natural ability to bring order and steadiness into homes during difficult seasons. She is passionate about walking alongside families through challenging times, offering support that is warm, non-judgemental, and grounded in genuine care.

She is married and the mum of three children, and she understands firsthand the complexities of family life when things don’t go to plan.

Through her own experiences - including pregnancy loss and supporting her children through injuries, medical care, and recovery - Christina carries a deep empathy for families facing physical, emotional, and mental strain. These experiences have shaped her belief that families in hard moments need both practical, hands-on support and gentle, compassionate care.

Christina values good nutrition and thoughtful organisation, and she loves cooking and baking nourishing meals that bring comfort and stability to households under pressure.

She also enjoys spending time outdoors, appreciating the beauty and stillness of nature and gardens.

With a calm, attentive presence, Christina provides in-home care that eases daily burdens and creates space for families to rest and heal.

  • Having an extra pair of hands in the Postpartum time was an incredible gift. Jasmine came over and picked up on the little jobs I hadn't been able to get to. I felt so comfortable having her in my home, knowing that as a mum herself, she just gets it
